Street Shots

Ok, I know Im a little late on this but I stumbled upon these photos online and couldn’t resist. As a huge Wild Style/Style Wars fan, I had to post these. Martha Cooper’s 50 years of photography captures a time that I’ve always wished to be a part of. Being a teenager in NYC in the 80′s when a new culture was exploding on the scene must have been a great expirience. I’ve seen Style Wars atleast 1,000 times. If you don’t know what Style Wars is, you have lived a deprived and sheltered life and should immidiately attempt to get your hands on a copy.

Long Way Home

The KAWS Long Way Home exhibition went down in LA last week. Seeing a graffiti artist make such a big splash in the art world is encouraging. I used to look forward to the next 12 oz. prophet to catch the latest KAWS billboard and now he has lines stretching around the block to see his work. In this show he made a bust of his head, painted it with autobody paint, and dropped it on the floor? Dope. After watching interviews with the soft spoken Jersey kid and seeing how he made himself so available to his fans at his show, you cant help but get the feeling that he’s a pretty laid back individual.

Blast from the past…

This video is dope. My mind wonders just like this all the time.

Krink Gold….

•February 20, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Apparently the  Gold is magically delicious. What makes this picture of a man who has been busted numerous times for huffing his favorite brand funny is that he advertises it on his new A-life x Krink shirt! You can pick up one of these babies here. Although it may smell as good as Ultra-flat black, I wouldn’t suggest this use for KR’s secret sauce.

Im obviously a fan of the new Kanye album (808′s). My favorite track finally has its own video. I love the digital distortion. The video also features my favorite new artist by far Kid Cudi. You can download the Kid Cudi Mixtape from an older post. Check it out… DOPE.
